Your eyes are so drowsy from the constant barking of your dog. All day and all night he barks repeatedly and there is no end to his constant voice. Well its time to get even! With 3 simple techniques you will stop your dog’s endless bark basically overnight. Here is how!

The first technique is positive reinforcement. I know what you are thinking. Why should I reward my pet if he is giving me nothing but trouble? You must some how teach your dog that barking is wrong and quiet is good. When your dog sees someone walk by the window or he is barking excessively at night for no reason, grab his head and say “No!” loudly with a stern face. When he quiets down, give him a dog treat and he will eventually understand that silence rewards.

The second technique is ignoring your dog when he barks in your presence. Do not pet and play with your pet when he is barking. He will grab the notion that it is something that you like and he will continue to carry on that behavior. Remember be stern with him.

The third technique is a little dirty but it is the best way to keep your canine from barking. Pour half a cup of vinegar and water into a spray bottle and send 2 squeezes toward his lips. The dog will then back off and every time he sees the bottle, he will think twice about being disruptive again.

Put these 3 steps together in your fight for dog peace and for a quieter house. The key is to be consistent with your dog and do not give into the temptation of feeling sorry for him when he doesn’t have his way.
