Barking Dogs – What Could They Be Barking At?
Dog barking is a very annoying behavior that many owners try to break in their dog quickly. I know that for me it was very hard to do this, but I did manage to get one of my loving pets to stop this behavior, but first I had to find out some of the things that he would be barking at. Here are two of the common things that my Labrador would often raise his voice towards even though they were no where near him.
1. Bike riders
I know that these people like to bike past my home all the time which they have a right to, but I found out these are one of the factors that sets my dog off. So when I know that the weekend is rolling around and the weather forecast is supposed to be nice I know that I will have to keep an eye and if I see bikers starting down my road to keep my dog away from the windows that he would see them out of.
2. Other Dogs Barking
Living in the rural areas does have some positives, but one negative is that if my dog hears others barking he will join in the chorus which can be very loud at times and make it hard to concentrate at times. So that is the second reason as to why my dog barks quite a bit. I know that this is one habit that is very hard to break and the only way that I have found that works is to try to keep him from hearing the others.
